On the afternoon of Friday September 29th, at the recovery centre in Harrow we held a Recovery Celebration event in celebration of National Recovery Month.
This Recovery Celebration was an opportunity to celebrate with our peers, service users and partners the positive results of all of the effort the Harrow team is putting in to support local service users on their recovery journey. It was also was an opportunity to welcome and introduce the new service manager Vanessa Duke to our service, service users and external partners.
During the event services users, peer mentors, volunteers and carers had the opportunity to share with us and our guests their stories and how WDP, Build on Belief (BOB) and Air Network have contributed to their recovery and success. We had music from the Guitar group and poems and stories from the Creative Writing group.
At the end of the afternoon we invited our guests to walk around the building where every single room gave an opportunity to learn from members of the team how the service works, and how different aspects of the services available support the Harrow community.
It was a wonderful event and a lovely way to celebrate the end of Recovery Month.
