WDP has been providing drug and alcohol services in the London Borough of Merton since April 2018.  

As the BRIC Coordinator you will need to be motivated, recovery focused, dedicated and able to manage projects over multiple sites. You will be familiar with a variety of approaches including building recovery capital, use of phasing and layering and co-producing work with service users.

Examples of projects and initiatives that you will be responsible for include:

  • Provide line management to volunteers, peer mentors and front-line Recovery Practitioners
  • Ensure the team works to SLA, KPI and Service targets
  • Take an active role in the local leadership team and be a strong role model for your team
  • Work with WDPs Recovery In Action (RIA) team, and implement and coordinate their programmes in the borough in partnership with the local leadership team
  • Recruit, train and nurture volunteers, peer mentors and service user representatives to build capacity and visible recovery across the borough
  • Support the development of meaningful service user involvement
  • Ensure the delivery of a diverse range of, and suitable recovery and abstinence based interventions across the borough
  • Create pathways for ETE opportunities and ensure strong links are made with the JCP, volunteer groups, local businesses and employers
  • Facilitate, report on and take ownership of regular service user consultation

The successful candidate will lead a recovery focused, treatment service for substance misusers within the diverse Borough of Merton.  You will use your drive and innovation to ensure a consistent high-quality service, showcasing good practice, high performance and excellence in given areas of expertise.  In this important role and you will take the lead in sustaining and developing relevant, high quality services to ensure they meet service user needs and commissioner requirements.
